"Nymph"

Pen-ek Ratanaruang´s Nymph has been screened in Cannes and the reviews are out – unfortunately they are not very kind.

“The latest outing from Thai auteur Pen-ek Ratanaruang is an abstruse ecological ghost story which builds its aura of other-wordly mystery slowly and uneventfully”, writes Screen. The review in Variety is slighty more positive: “Challengingly slow-paced, much like the helmer’s last two pics (“Ploy,” “Invisible Waves”) this one starts to cast a bewitching spell by its final reels, although for some the effect will be more like that of a sleeping potion.” Then there is a review at Little White Lies, at Twitch and in the blog of Kong Rithdee the Bangkok Post.  A trailer is here, brief interviews with director and cast are at Lovefilm.com.
