I just noticed that this site was among the best sites for Asian film in a list at The Auteurs.

How did I become part of this exclusive selection?

It might have helped that I know Auteurs-blogger David Hudson from back in the days, when we used to get drunk on Netzkritik and cheap red wine in our golden years in Berlin.

Or was it just the sheer quality of this site?

Anyway, David was among the first bloggers back than in the late 1990s with his site Rewired, except that we did not know the term blog then.

He is still at it a decade later, and I am always happy when our paths cross, as seems to happen surprisingly frequently, considering that I lost touch with most of the people from the heady days of internet and techno in the Berlin of the 90s.
