Filippino old guard with new movies

April 27, 2009

The whole New Wave of Independent film in the Philippines has also produced new interest in local film history. APT Entertainment’s Sine Direk supports the production of six new feature films by Mel Chionglo, Joel Lamangan, Peque Gallaga, Lore Reyes, Mario J. delos Reyes and Soxy Topacio. New films by Laurice Guillen and Marilou Diaz-Abaya (despite her grave illness) are also forthcoming.
